Dr. Krishna Kumar H.N.

Dr. Krishna Kumar HN has published about 33 Research articles both in National and International refereed journals. He guided about 60 students for their M.Phil. and project work. Dr. Krishna Kumar HN successfully completed a research project on “In vitro Propagation of Calamus L.” Sponsored by UGC, New Delhi and a Research project on “Anticancer compound- Isolation and characterization from the members of Solanaceae” sponsored by UGC, Bangalore. He worked as an EC member and Joint Secretary in Association of Microbiologists of India, Mysore Chapter, Mysore. Dr. Krishna Kumar HN is proficient in various techniques such as PCR, Electrophoresis, HPLC, Microscopy, Chromatography, Restriction digestion & Ligation of DNA, Bacterial & plant gene transformation, preparation of competent cells, Southern blotting, Western blotting, Extraction and Purification of enzymes, ELISA etc. He extensively worked on taxonomy and embryology of Rattans and Orchids of Western Ghats and expertise in collection and identification of plants. Dr. Krishna Kumar HN is well versed with isolation, purification and characterization of plant metabolites.
